tom’s racing news!

September 2024:

As part of his prize for winning the 2024 DriveTribe live fastest lap competition. Tom won 2 VIP tickets to the 2024 British GT championship final at brands hatch. The 2 tickets included an exclusive tour of the garage and cars at academy motorsport. “an amazing day at brands hatch. definitely a big highlight of the year! it was amazing to be invited into the garage at academy motorsport even during the action pact race. it was thrilling to see multiple pitstops performed. overall a thoroughly enjoyable day!”

thank you so much to LIQUI MOLY, SRO Hospitality, Academy Motorsport, and Erik Evans for an amazing day.

October 2024:

Tom finished the 2024 karting season in second place after holding the championship lead all the way until the penultimate race that saw Tom lose 13 points to a controversial deduction. this points deduction deducts all of the points that a driver scored in their worst performing race during the season. however, if a driver misses a race in the season then they do not have to go through the points deduction process. Tom lost the championship because he had to go through the points deduction but the 2024 champion did not. Tom is still satisfied with second place but left understandably ‘gutted’ about the loss. But there are still many positives and victories to behold.

December 2024:

On the first of December Tom competed in the virtual 4 hours of Brands Hatch with F3 driver Felix Baggott. after an incredibly chaotic first lap, the red flag came out after a pile up which was narrowly avoided. the grid was massively oversized so this incident was inevitable. the rest of the race didn’t go very well for them as 2 hours in they got unfortunately taken out of the race by a Porsche. however, it was a good opportunity to get used to what professional virtual sim racing is like.
